MRZ or Machine Readable Zone is a particular area in an identity document (passport specifically) that encloses the document holder’s personal data. Nowadays, almost every country’s official identity or travel documents have MRZ, containing confidential information encoded. Generally, MRZ has two or three lines with the OCR (Optical character recognition) font text printed.

TSSL ID Autofill System (OCR Manager) is an ideal solution to speed up the ID information input process and to reduce data entry errors. The system contains two components:
OCR Reader users Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to instantly capture the information and image of travel documents and, to a lesser extent, business cards. With the OCR output the captured information and image can then be automatically filled into personnel profile, for example guest profile of hotel management system OPERA PMS. Combined with the OCR Manager there is no need for any changes to existing user applications, thus greatly reducing the implementation effort and time required.
OCR Manager software emulates keyboard and mouse actions, which automatically sends OCR data and image to the user application. The software is easily configurated to work with almost any user applications.
TSSL ID Autofill System also includes both Traditional/Simplified Chinese and English OCR supports and, customizable module for using to recognize different local travel and ID documents. These documents include:
An optional feature - Document Authentication is available on TSSL ID Autofill System. It enables user to verify and to determine the authenticity of ID or travel document.
Customization is available per user’s specific requirements.
